Young
Investigators Programme - Benefits
promoting the
scientific leaders of tomorrow
Aside from the global exposure and enhanced reputation that association
with EMBO brings, membership of the EMBO Young Investigator Programme
offers a host of other benefits:
Annual
meeting
The meeting facilitates networking amongst Young Investigators and EMBL
group leaders. All are invited to participate.
Invitation
to EMBO member meetings and mentorship by an EMBO member
An EMBO member chosen by the Young Investigator serves
as his/her mentor. EMBO provides funds towards an annual visit. The
mentor gives advice on a research project and promotes the mentee's
invitation to relevant conferences. Initially the mentee invites their
mentor for a visit to their institute.
Please read the Travel guidelines
and Travel expense claim form.
Financial
support of networking with other young investigators
The networking programme supports collaborations between EMBO Young
Investigator groups or between EMBO Young Investigator groups and EMBL
groups. The collaboration can take the form of visits, student exchange
or joint group meetings.
Please send an email to yip@embo.org
with a short description of the nature of the proposed collaboration and
proposed budget. On completion of the collaboration fill in the required
Networking Report
Form.
